Take it slowly from the roots and the lashes separate as you go, which is what makes them read longer rather than heavier. One coat is enough for definition on a bare face, and a second builds weight along the lash line, which is where the eye actually wants it.

How to use

Brush upward from the roots to the tips to define and lengthen lashes. Let each coat dry before adding another.
